Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great non-drying loose powder Been trying every loose powder out there to find a good replacement to use. This powder is a sheer wash of color but it is non-drying and leaves my skin just matte enough to still be luminous. I have not had it change color over concealer nor oxidize during the day. I really don't like Laura Merciea loose powder is way to drying for my skin ! I have very dry skin so finding a loose setting powder that is not to drying is always a challenge. My skin is an 'NC20' (medium color with golden tone) and this powder is perfect... not too light to be chalky not too dark. The color got was 'Absolute Ecru Light' radiant smoothing powder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS PRODUCT DELIVERS...... As someone who has at least a dozen powders that claim to do what Absolue Powder does, I ordered this product based on the rave reviews. Let me also say I am no spring chicken, so my skin is far from young and perfect. This is really a lovely wonderful skin brightening (without glitter or too much sheen) I ordered Peche and for someone with fair skin w neutral/pink undertones, its perfection. Does not look like powder on the skin just leaves you with a subtle dewy healthy skin. Thank you for delivering! This is a superlative product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! I have this in the Peche, Golden, and Pearl...which should tell you I love them!! I wear the Pearl as a regular loose powder over my foundation but I wear the other two as a shimmer all over because they have more shimmer in them than the Pearl. The golden is going to be all I will need for the summer!! This gives me the shimmer, glow I was looking for in a foundation so now I no longer have to mix my foundation with an illuminator so it saves time! The price may make you think NO WAY but I promise it is worth it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Powder I discovered this powder when I had an in-store Lancome makeover in a department store. The Makeup Artist used this powder and I was both amazed and impressed with the results. When I saw the color of the Absolute Golden powder, I told him that it looked too pink, too shimmery, and too dark. He ignored my protestations and I discovered my new favorite powder. I am in my sixties, but have good, fair, and unwrinkled skin and this powder really brings it to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall finish I am 59 and my skin doesn't have that "youthful" glow of days gone by. I use Lancome's Dual Finish Matte Amande III on my face and then finish off the look using the Absolute Powder in Golden, and my face looks just great. Much more youthful. Absolute doesn't add a "made up" look to your face, it just makes it appear more lustrous. I love this product.. couldn't believe the effect. I hope they never discontinue it because I've never seen any other product that does this to my face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Powder I like this powder very much! As other reviewers have mentioned, it runs dark, so Pearl is a bit darker than my very fair skin. I also didn't notice any pronounced effect of micro-sparkles, which was really okay with me, because I was a little bit afraid that it would look too sparkly for an older woman. But this powder is light as a feather, feels fabulous alone or with foundation, and looks great on the skin. It is a tad pricey, but goes a long way and is possibly the best powder that I have ever used!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This powder is lovely The Absolue Powder has become a daily staple for me. It truly makes my skin look glowing and radient! I am 48 with very good skin, however, my skin is not as bright, or even as it used to be. Absolue Powder has a luminous effect, without being glittery, or teenagerish. It makes me look as if I am filled with light. It is light on my skin, and one one only needs to use a small amount. It is a lovely way to set my are Renergie Lift Foundation, or, on days when I do not wear makeup, I put it on after my Lancome skin care for a natural glow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing The only powder I would consider using after trying it. I am almost 50 years old and you know what they say. Women of a certain age should not use powder because it settles in fine lines and makes them more obvious. Not this powder! I apply a litle dusting with a brush and it smooths out my complection and gives me a soft glow. Other women give me compliments on how great my skin looks. That is mostly due to how clean a finish Asolue powder provides. Of all the Lancome products I use this is my all time favorite.

Which loose powder is best for oily skin and that stays on all day? Should I go with translucence loose powder or Absolue powder?

Also which color would I need? I use 345 sand III dual finishpowder. And for foundation I use 220 Buff C
Asked by: Lisa
I have both powders and I have combination skin. My T-zone becomes very oily. I like the Absolue powder better because not only is it a bit lighter and finer powder but the look of it is flawless and it doesn't get a shine after wearing it all day.

What is the difference between absolute ecru light loose powder and absolute peche loose powder?

I thought one was more"sparkly" than the other but I cannot tell.
Asked by: Miss k
The color (tint) of the powders will be different. I matched the number of the powder with my foundation. I called a rep to find out the numbers of the powders.

Do I use the puff that comes with powder or a brush?

Asked by: Marny
I prefer to use a brush so a lighter amount goes on. You can always use the puff and then blend in with a clean brush too.

Is the talc in this powder safe for long term use?

I see talc is the main ingredient. I know talc has been linked to cancer, even in recent years. Is this talc safe?
Asked by: Syrah
FDA says its generally recognized as safe even in cosmetics but it does clog your pores. With that being said most all makeup has talc it is used as a filler even in some mineral makeup. I have been using this product & have had no problems thus far not even with clogged pores. This powder is very silky & gives skin a soft focus appearance. Maybe thats the talc since it is used for anti-caking. Hope this helps

Can I use this more as a highlighter instead of all over?

Absolue pesche and Absolue golden both have a luminescence to them so yes you could use one of those for a highlighter.

Do all shades have micro sparkles?

Asked by: christineatbay
I would say Light reflecting properties. The powder is beautifully luminescent, in a lady like fashion. You will not have sparkles all over your face, it is a lit from within glow. Very beautiful!

Can this be used to set concealer under the eye? What about baking?

I have this in golden that I use all over and I love it. So beautiful! But wanted to purchase the peche color for setting under eye concealer and baking my contour. So many others cause it too looks so dry and accentuates and lines I have.
Asked by: erscott
I think a translucent powder would be better for under the eye and baking! Try RCMA powder or the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder (specifically for under the eyes)!
