Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same or even comparable I've been using Le Poudre Taupe for years, but I ran out and was in desperate (desperate!) need of a new pencil. In my desperation, I bought the Brow Shaping Powdery Pencil, figuring that it was just a rebrand and that the product would be the same, because why would Lancome change such a great product? Well, I still don't know the answer to that question, but they did. First, the Light Brown isn't comparable to the Le Poudre Taupe. The thing about the Taupe is that it was extremely versatile and complimentary to many complexions. I'm a redhead and my mother-in-law is a blonde, and we both used that shade. Second, this new pencil doesn't apply as smoothly or subtly as Le Poudre. With Le Poudre, I barely had to press the pencil against my skin. With the new pencil, I sometimes really have to press into my skin to get a result, which usually results in something unattractive that I have to wipe off and start all over. To close, in both color and application, this is a fail, Lancome. I'm disappointed. I have about half an inch of usable Le Poudre left, and I'm hoarding it for special occasions where I "have" to look good. (I work from home, and my beagle doesn't care about the state of my eyebrows.) Lancome, please listen to your faithful customer base and bring the old formula back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from OMG No more taupe I have been using the taupe pencil forever. Please bring it back, I’m pleading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love how easy this is to use. Great product. Easy to apply, and natural looking. Wish they had an ashy tone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why abandon loyal customers? Why did Lancome feel it necessary to eliminate a product that worked so well for so many for so long? Your eyebrows frame your face. I lost my permanently 12 years ago due to Chemotherapy. Lancomes Taupe was the only brow pencil that went on without being too heavy or dark. Please, for all your loyal customers, bring it back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sad, but true....the color taupe discontinued. Please bring back the original formula - the one which is powder based and easy to apply. And please bring back the color TAUPE. The light brown, the dark blonde, and the chestnut color shades are not good substitutes. Taupe is complimentary to most complexions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No more taupe! I nearly fell over when the lady behind the counter told me..she was devastated as well and although she worked for lancome told me the name of a different brand to use! But I was in a rush and bought the blond and it was awful-did not go on at all- just like a #2 pencil my kids use for school! And the color was not even close to what i needed (blonde). ...searching now for a new brand. Even my 19 year old was upset -she use to love to fill hers in with it-seems like a bad mistake on Lancomes end-

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please bring back the old Taupe Le Poudre! I used the Lancome Le Poudre eyebrown pencil, taupe shade, for decades. It was a wonderful product. The "new improved' version is terrible, and the taupe color is no longer available. Sadly, I will have to look for another brand. From all the reviews I have read, it sounds like Lancome really made a mistake with this change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WHAT HAPPENED TO LE CRAYON POUDRE CHATAIGNE? I have been using this color for over ten years, probably longer. My skin has yellow undertone and this was the only brow pencil that was just the right color - not too dark. I tried the new color, Chocolate, and it was too dark. It did not work, nor is it as soft and smooth as Chataigne color. The other brow colors are either too light or too dare. It is really a shame when you find a brow pencil that works for you the company dis-continue's producing it.

Which new color for eye brow pencil that matches taupe

Asked by: Rubyleola
I tried to get an answer via chat this morning. While they have been informed tell you that the light brown has replaced the taupe color, it is actually the dark blonde that is the best match. I knew that the color on the screen did not look like a very good match, so I did not order online! I took what I have left of my taupe into the store today and the associate helped me match the new colors to the old taupe. The dark blonde is actually darker than the light brown...go figure!

Have you discontinued the taupe color eye brow pencil? This is a good color. If you no longer have it, which color is closest to it?

Asked by: cms2
Check under item "LE CRAYON POUDRE" instead for the taupe color.

When will you be getting Le Crayon powder pencil in taupe for the brows back?? I am so impressed by everyone expressing their dissatisfaction with your replacement. I will be buying my brow pencil somewhere else until then.
