Soft, plush, and fluffy lashes give a naturally effortless lash look (think: the clean girl beauty trend) and it is the reason many people look to lash extensions, lash tints, and lash lifts. Using certain mascaras, you can create a fluffy lash look that can be washed off at the end of the day.
Mascara for Fluffy Lashes
Choosing the right mascara is the biggest key to achieving fluffy lashes. When choosing a mascara, look for a formula that does not weigh down your lashes and instead focuses on lash lift and volume.
Our Lash Idole Lash-Lifting Mascara is enriched with White Tea Extract and features a carefully crafted curved mascara wand to lift, lengthen and volumize lashes. The finished result is feathery soft, plush looking lashes – making this mascara perfect for fluffy lashes.
1. Curl Your Lashes
Before applying mascara, use a lash curler like Le Curler to curl your lashes. This will help to lift your lashes, making them appear longer and fuller. Make sure to hold the curler at the base of your lashes and gently press down for a few seconds.
2. Use a Mascara Primer
Using a mascara primer is a step that can make a world of difference for lash results. Our Cils Booster XL Mascara Primer is the perfect base for fluffy lashes – the formula works to condition and contains fibers that cling to lashes to create the look of additional length, lift, and volume.
3. Tightline Your Lashes
Before you are about to apply mascara – reach for your eyeliner. Using a pencil eyeliner apply eyeliner in-between the roots of the lashes to create the look of a fuller lash bed – this is a technique known as tightlining. A full, thick lash bed helps to further add to the fluffy lash look as it adds the look of volume without using too much mascara. Apply your eyeliner and allow it to set before moving on to mascara.
4. Apply Mascara
Start by applying mascara at the base of your lashes and wiggle the brush in a zig zag motion back and forth to ensure every lash is coated, then, pull the brush through your lashes to the tips, using a zig zag motion once again to brush through lashes. Our Lash Idole Mascara features a curved brush – to further enhance the fluffy lash look use the outside curve of the mascara wand to fan out lashes
5. Use a Lash Comb
After applying mascara (and while the mascara is still drying) use a lash comb to separate your lashes and remove any clumps, add additional lift, and help create a natural fluffy, feathery look. Hold the comb at the base of your lashes and gently comb through them as the mascara sets – you can use either a plastic lash comb or a metal lash comb. If you don’t have a lash comb you may like to use a clean dry mascara wand (also known as a spoolie).
6. Apply Mascara to the Lower Lashes
To complete the look, do not forget to apply mascara to your lower lashes. To create the fluffy lash look on your lower lashes — apply a light coat of mascara to the lower lashes and comb through the lashes using the curved size of the brush.
