Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Holy Grail of Loose Powder! The best powder I have ever used! I was searching (desperately) for a powder that I could wear with or without foundation and finally I found THE ONE! I've tried so many powders from so many different brands but none of them were what I wanted. I wanted a powder that wouldn't make me look ashy, would last all day, absorbed oil (so I wasn't a shiny bowling ball), looked great alone or with foundation, and had a matte yet natural look--I know a long wish list. But this powder is everything I wanted! I am so glad I happened to try it while I was shopping in Macy's--I typically don't like Lancome products! I will never try anything else! Woohoo!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Messy Not silky! Forever on the hunt for a decent loose powder that doesn't make my makeup migrate I tried this thinking it would be beautiful....but color 100 looks nothing in real life what it looks like in the picture. At first I thought that I had finally acheived the smooth beautiful flawless look I have been seeking for years, until I looked at my skin up close after several hours....oh the horrors! It is a flat shade that sits heavily on the face, thus making everything in its path migrate. It did little to settle the makeup (the lancome lit from within) I think this is going to have to go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! I bought this powder a few months ago when I was on the hunt for a powder that's good for dry skin. A word of warning though. I was looking for something talc free. The ingredients on the site don't match the ones on the box so this DOES include talc. I am since called Lancome about it but I'm not sure if they fixed it or not. Regardless, I love this powder. It doesn't make my sensitive dry skin feel itchy. It also seems to help smooth out my pores and texture. It leaves you shine free but not looking caked on or overly dry. I would suggest it to anyone who has dry or even mature skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from make-up that feels like you're not wearing make-up I don't feel a thing when I wear this powder, it is amazing. I have tried wearing it over the Teint Miracle foundation but find that even that lightweight of a foundation is too heavy for me. I have combination skin and tend to get oily in my t-zone and also on the apples of my cheeks when my face make-up is anything heavier than a light powder. This one does the trick and is all I wear, other than a pat of concealer over any blemishes and under my eyes. It gives me just enough color and coverage to make my skin look dewy-fresh and natural. I also really like that it doesn't have a detectable fragrance, unlike the Dual Finish compact powders.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic if Used Properly This was the first time I decided to try a loose mineral powder. It's important to make sure, first, that you have the correct brush for application. Once you get the amount of power to apply correct, this product is fantastic. It comes on light and doesn't make my face feel like it's coated with powder. What's even better is that it keeps my face from getting oily or shiny throughout most of the day. I would definitely recommend this product to others to try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product is great except for color options. I loved this powder before you changed the colors! There is too much difference in the colors. One is too dark and another is too light. More color options should be offered!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a powder for fair skin I have fair skin and because of that I haven't been able to buy Lancome loose powder in probably 15 years. All the shades have been too dark. I was shopping online and checked in on this loose powder. The 100 looked like a lighter shade online. Was dismayed when I opened the box after it arrived in the mail. Not even when I used to get out in the sun would this work for my complexion. Please bring back a truly light shade of loose powder, Lancome!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for oily skin I'm in my 50's and have combination skin (oily t-zone). I bought this to go with the two Lancôme foundations I'm using (both long lasting and great on their own). I needed a setting powder and something to absorb oil. Even though this product is made to go with same-brand foundations, it does not absorb oil and can alter the color of your foundation as the day goes on. Within 10-15 minutes of use, my t-zone was oilier than ever. It's probably better for someone with drier skin.

I use dual finish in Matte Neutral II -- What color of Translucence should I buy?

Asked by: Anonymous
This is difficult to answer without more info, but I would suggest # 200. or keeping in mind that this powder runs a little on the dark, you might want to try the next shade lighter. If yo are near a department store with a Lancome counter, check it there first.

I am very confused with the packaging. The clear cover over the powder appears to have holes yet no powder comes through. Taking off the cover means the puff will get fully loaded which I don't really want to do. What needs to be done to get a scant amount of powder on the puff? Thanks.

There is a sifter lid in it.

I use teint idole 250 w bisque, what color translucence powder should I use?

Asked by: Anonymous
Try the 300. It has a yellow undertone, so with your warm undertone it should go well. Otherwise it might be too dark and you should stick with the 200.

What color translucence with Teint Idole Ultra Buff 220

Not sure which translucence to order
Asked by: swillis
Stick with the 200. The 300 is too yellow for a cool undertone. I use TI 310 and the 300 is too dark for me.

Can this loose powder be used as a foundation? Would it cover enough?

Asked by: Hle0175
For me it covered very well and I didn't use liquid foundation under it, I was really amazed with it. What I did was go into my local dept. Store which has a lancome counter and had her match me and asked her if she could put some on me so I can try it out for that day. I have really oily skin and it can be temperamental sometimes.

Is the translucence loose powder oil free?

Is the translucence powder oil free?
Asked by: CalGirl
The only oil-based item is tocopheryl acetate and it's 12th in the ingredient list. It is a compound made with vitamin e. This powder does not feel like the powders that have moisturizing properties, it's very light.
