Have been using RENERGIE 30C; which Teint Idole shade is a match?

Asked by: Anonymous
The closest comparative color to the 30 C is the Tient Idole 110 Ivorie C. However if you feel that your skin color has changed do to sun or anything else the best suggestion is to visit a LANCOME counter for a quick color match.

Summer color

I usually wear ivory 100 (n). I notice in the summer it doesn't look quite right. What is a typical shade change for most people? Would I be safe ordering ivory 110 for summer? What does the letter at the end of color description mean? Thank you.
Asked by: Jami
If you are out in the sun in the summer, it is natural to have a darker skin color. To get the perfect match go to the store that sells the Lancome products. A trained sales person will match your skin coloring with the perfect match. There are several different shades of Ivory 100 and the letter at the end is that special shade, which is important to know. Lancome will have your perfect shade each time of the year.

How long is this makeup good before it expires? I no longer have the box and there is no expiration date on the bottle. Thanks in advance!

Asked by: Anonymous
I don't believe it has a expiration date. I have used Teint Idole Ultra 24 H Foundation for many years and have never noted a expiration date. As long as you keep it closed good and in a normal temperature area, it should last for a long time. Test it on your face. I am a 40 year + user of the Lancome products and have never had a problem.

I had 370 Bisque W before and i want to repurchase it but i can only buy it from Europe now. I was also really tan when i was using 370 Bisque so i would need i guess 2-3 shades lighter. I also get extremely dark in the summer so i would need something darker than 370 Bique W. This is the reason i`m asking you to compare the usa and uk shades so i have an idea. My skin is pretty yellow so the warm undertones are what i am mostly interested about. I hope you can help me! :) thank you. I`m

Can I use traslucen powder with this foundation for retouch?

Asked by: Vany
Yes you can use translucence to retouch. It would be best to set this foundation with the translucence after application. The best thing to use as a retouch for TIU is the miracle cushion because you can carry it in your purse and the formulas are similar (unlike the powder and liquid foundation).

What color should I use?

I am using the 270 Bisque (W) It gives me a tan look that I don't like. I wanted to see what would color would be recommended that's a little lighter.
Asked by: Kayla
Picking a color should always be the perfect shade. I went to the nearest Lancôme Cosmetic counter and had them color match me. Another advantage to this is that they can give you a sample to take home before purchasing. This way you are absolutely happy with the shade. The shade that you are unhappy with can also be taken back to exchange for the right color. Good Luck.

Color Equivalent, to the old Teint Idole Ultra Buff 4 (C)

I understand they discontinued my foundation some time ago, I found out they were doing so and bought two bottles and I've just now run out. My foundation is the one before they switched to the Idole 24hrs... it is just called "Teint Idole Ultra". See attached pic of bottle and colour. I love my makeup and would like equivalent colours in either Teint Miracle or Teint Idole Ultra 24Hrs... Is there an equivalence chart, I've searched the net and can't find one? The two other bottles which I've had my skin matched at store and bought look awful on me, one was way too light for me and the other too ruddy/dark. I'd love your help, signed your loyal Lancome Fan, Amy
Asked by: Amz_R
In store, they should be able to give you free samples. Definitely get some free samples and try them at home before buying! Also, stick to "C" tones if you remain a cool, instead of sticking to the "Buff" label. It is possible you could be "Ivoire" or a different "color" name.

I got as a sample 250 w sometimes it looks darker then my neck depending on the lighting am white with green eyes what other color do you recommend I

What other colors should I try on I got it as a Christmas gift the foundation but am not sure it matches my skin color
Asked by: Jenny
I would recommend that you get matched in a store. It is free! If that's not possible, assess if you have warm, neutral, or cool toned skin. (the letters after the colors (C, N, W) stand for Cool, Neutral and Warm, and refer to skin tone. Cool skin tones will usually have a pink or rosy undertone, Warm skin tones tend to have a peach or golden undertone and Neutral can go either way.) Normally pale skin will be cool or neutral, so this may solve the issue of it appearing "darker". If you choose not to switch colors, blending the foundation from your "chin line" a little farther down onto your neck will most likely solve this problem.

What color am I?

In the summer I got matched to 320 Bisque W and now I got matched to 310 Bisque C. I was wondering what was the difference between the W and the C? My face is always red by the way. So I want a foundation that DOES NOT make me more red. Help!
Asked by: Patty96
The difference is primarily that the W has warmer undertones and the C has cooler undertones. At one time, I was also matched with two different shades by two different consultants - 220 Buff C and 230 Buff W. Since I have a lot of red undertones, the better shade for me was the cool one - 220 Buff C. This looked a little less "orangey" on me and blended better, and definitely did not make my face appear more red. I plan to try a neutral shade soon to see if it may work even better. Have you tried wearing both shades for a day to see which looks more natural on you? This is the absolute best test, as the lighting at the beauty counter isn't always ideal. If neither are what you're looking for, you may want to try 330 Bisque N since it's a neutral shade (neither warm nor cool). Also, keep in mind that there is a chance you may need two colors - one for winter and one for summer. This could help explain why you were matched with different colors. You may have had a bit of a tan when you were matched with the 320 Bisque W.

What shade do i use in Teint Idole Ultra if I'm a NC30 studio fix in MAC?

Pic in natural light. Redness, acne scars, & hyper pigmentation.
Asked by: Tanya
I recommend going to one of the many Lancome makeup counters to be matched by one of the specialists. They are very knowledgeable and can also recommend other products to correct some of your skin concerns. You might also consider using a concealer under your foundation. With so many cosmetic lines available out there, it's difficult to determine a color match without seeing your skins undertone. I have a yellow undertone and some makeup takes on a more red/orange appearance when applied to my face. Getting help from a professional can save you lots of time and money. I hope this was helpful.

What shade would be one shade lighter than 320 bisque (w)?

I've been using 320 bisque w for a few months, love it, but need a slightly lighter shade for fall/winter. I purchased 250 bisque w but it seems too light. I have blonde hair and medium skin tone, green eyes. I use a sunless tanning product year around to avoid looking very pale. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Kay1
320 to 250 is a huge jump. Have you tried 280 Bisque W or its lighter sister 270 Bisque W? If your true skin color is pale, 270 might be more natural but if you are just a tad off of 320 than 280 would be better. If you are testing, keep in mind the foundation oxidizes and will darken from when you first apply it. I also use Lancôme Star Bronzer Natural Glow in 05 Golden which looks dark in the pan but the pickup is fairly light and there's a lot of gold shimmer which makes it much more bronze in a glowy way when you put it on instead of brown/terracotta or metallic. This surprised me because most bronzers deposit way too much color and this one didn't. I use it to contour the forehead and jaw if the foundation seem too light around the edges and a tad under the cheeks.

I am blonde and use the 230 Buff but also have the 220 Buff both 24hr oil free. Best foundation I have ever worn. It literally lasts all day and gives a flawless facial no crease finish. It does not smudge or run even when the weather is not so predictable. This is the best foundation I have found to date. Great for people with uneven skin tones too. I use all Lancome products. The foundation will stay looking perfect even through a workout session.

Asked by: Deanne
Since the foundation is too light for you in the fall and winter seasons, I would suggest mixing the 360 Bisque N with 430 Bisque C. I would start off with two parts of your regular foundation then add on part 430 Bisque C. I would then swatch the mixture between the jaw line and neck area. This is to ensure that you do not have that decapitated look (two obvious colors between your body and face). Hope this helps ;)
