Rated 5 out of 5 by from The color/shade changed Hello all...I'm not the only one who has gone through this with Lancome. I used Pearl 20 which was perfect for me then was astonished when my last order arrived to see a much lighter/yellowy color that was horrid on me. The sweet customer rep tried to tell me maybe I had left my old Pearl 20 unopened too long. After being put on hold several times....no worries on that....she did say there was a problem, not a change but a problem. At any rate....I am now wearing Ecru 20 (C)...the shade is close enough. Hope this helps others. Yes! I do love the product, wouldn't have put so much time into it had I not. Also, I am 61 and have dry skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product for someone like me who wants good coverage. I have been a Lancome used for years, and each time I found a product (makeup) that I used for years it was discontued. Then I went to get my next make up and they told me that the Absolute Makeup was discontinued. I was furious. So I decided that I would go online and write a angry letter, but to my amazement I can order it I am overjoyed. I use alot of the products..Lipstick , lip liner, face cream, eye concealer, and on. This would have been the third product that I thougt was discontinued.Do I need to stock up or will it continue to be availible?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Product I've been a loyal Lancome user for many years. You products are the only ones I can use with my sensitive skin. I recently purchased the Absolue Foundation and i could not be more pleased with it. I live in New York and the recent weather has played havoc with my face. The Absolue cream and Foundation have been a lifesaver for me. I love the coverage and gentleness. This will be my foundation from now on. I would highly recommend it to any lady that has dry, sensitive skin. There in not a better product on the market. The only problem I have found is that i can not purchase it in any store in Upstate New York. Please don't discontinue this excellent foundation. I will be devastated if you do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update on Color I've been using this product for years. I noticed after purchasing a new jar in May the color had changed - I use Pearl 20N - the color was orange toned. Horrible. I called Lancôme and was told others had complained, they took it off the market and replaced the formula. I received my new jar and it is like the original formula - GREAT!!! I am so happy they fixed the problem as this product stays on all day and looks wonderful. I have many compliments on my makeup base. The only negative I have to say is the stores I frequent to purchase Lancôme were unaware of this issue and still selling the bad formula jars. Lancôme needs to pull the product when inferior. Hopefully, they will continue with the original formula as it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Finish to Makeup Regime I have been using Absolue for quite a few years and am soon to be 69. Nobody believes my age because I take care of my skin and use this absolutely wonderful make-up. One light layer with another built on top of it is much better than one thick layer. It builds beautifully and leaves my skin smooth, soft, and even looking. I can't say enough about this product. I was particularly pleased with the color, as my skin is extremely light and Absolue had just the right shade for me that blends in beautifully and doesn't look like a mask of make-up. This is a fine product that I definitely recommend to anyone of any age. it's not only smoothing and soft looking, but also seems to have a moisturizing effect as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage This is one of the very few cream foundation that can cover my melasma spots and believe me I have many. There was a time my hyper pigmentation peppered my face and neck that I didn't want to go out of the house. After my dermatologist told me that I can cover it with full coverage foundation I finally gathered strength to look for the perfect foundation to do it. I found it in this cream foundation. It oxidizes so well that it actually matched the shade of my skin rendering the melasma almost invisible. It also takes so little to get full coverage. I will definitely get another pot as soon as the one I have is nearly gone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The color and texture was changed without notice. Poor change! I have used Absolue Ecru 20C foundation for more that 10 years. The last one I bought at Belk in Florence,SC before a trip overseas was completely different! I have tried to use it, but I look like a cadaver!!! the tonality is totally different and it also has the feeling of a PASTE! It used to be awsome!! I expended so much money because it used to give me a complete coverage but with a soft and creamy finish. I just returned to US and moved to NC, what can I do?? I am really disappointed! I appreciate your reply. luzcita

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice coverage I used this for several years and enjoyed the nice coverage for problem areas. I actually prefer the Absolue in the bottle that is less creamy, thick. That being said, this is still a great foundation and works wonders for hiding without looking at all chalky, caky or dry. Makes the skin look dewy if applied correctly. As with anything, getting the right amount and knowing when to stop adding more is important. A little goes a long way. I used the Lancome foundation brush with it. I found it helped to place a small amount of it on the back of my hand to warm it. That makes for a nice, smooth application. Feels very moisturizing. Maybe in summer it was a little too heavy for very hot weather. That is one reason I switched to the other Absolue.

I am using Absolute Ecru 5C. I need to go up one shades. I need the C because I have to have the pink in my make up. Would Almond 10C be too dark?

Asked by: RCanno
Hello It depends on your skin.i prefer to go slightly darker in the summer as i get a little tan. I would get a sample to test first as every skin type is different.

I used Pearl 10 in the past. Should I go back to Pearl? It seems hard to get. Thank you. should I go back to that

Yes I too am very light skinned, so I use Pearl 10 Cool, and in Florida its impossible to get this foundation at all other than online, I get it at lancome or at macys.com , still can get most shades at both sites the problem I believe came from mislabeled pearl 10 cool back about 2 years ago, it was corrected but during that time stores were having problems with customers saying the color was off , and people returned it to the store. Unfortunately Lancôme has not done as well as they should letting people know its corrected and now the colors are true to what they originally were.

I have been using Absolute Liquid Foundation in Ecru 220 and you are out

I NEED make up what shade in the cream is the same? I absolutely love this make up and color and hope it is not being discontinued.
Asked by: tlecu
I used to use this as well. I was told at the Lancome counter they are discontinuing it. However, they let me try the Absolue Bx Makeup Liquid Foundation (the one in the pump) which is comparable and I like it even better than the stuff in the jar. You'll have to try it out at a store to find your shade as this product has a lot more color options.

Absolue Ecru 15 W should fit the bill.

I use AbsoluteBX320 (NW) I have a rose under tones which color would work best?

I am extremely dry and have always been even as a teenager. I am slivery blonde and over 65.
Asked by: Shelby
For a warmer tone Absolue Foundation Ecru 10 N will split the difference between a warm and cool tone and provide a little bit of rose as you wish. For a cooler, and more rose shade, to my eye, at least, I would go with Absolue Foundation Pearl 20 N.

Can you help me find modern versions of my old favorite Lancome products?

I used Lancome products from the mid 1980s until about 10 years ago. I am quite pleased with Lancome products... don't know why exactly but Lancome seems to work very well for me. Maquivelours Beige Bisque III was my foundation and my power was Poudre Majeur (Libre or loose) Matte Beige. My favorite lipstick was a very long lasting creamy lipstick called Rouge Sensations color was Champagne. I have very little left and I save it for special occasions. Can you please suggest modern versions of the same quality, coverage and color of my old favorites? I see that I can still buy Magie Noire and am just tickled about that.
Asked by: Nanna
I believe that you should contact a beauty consultant at your nearest or favorite Lancôme counter. I would not be able to compare because I don't have access to the color charts and other tools that they have. Best of luck finding your new look!

What color would be best for me?

I have red hair and light skin that has a lot of color in it.
Asked by: Anonymous
It is very difficult to guess the right color without trying the makeup on in person. I recommend going to your local Lancome counter and having an associate help you find your best shade. Then you can buy online going forward.
