Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Eyeliner Ever! This eyeliner goes on so smooth and the color shows up really well. I like to use a liquid eyeliner to draw out a line first and use this pencil to draw on top of it. Then i use a brush and brush on a same shade eye shadow and slowly blend the eyeliner with the shadow. It blends out perfectly and great for doing smoky eyes. I tried the cheaper eyeliner and most of them need to pull and drawing back and forth for the color to shows up. So for the risk of stressing my eye lid and adding more wrinkle, I will definitely spend a little more for my eyeliner. Overall, this is a great eyeliner and I hope they will have more colors later on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Likeable eyeliner I really like this eyeliner. The application is smooth and easy. The color is very bold. The color you see is the color you get. I use Blanc on my water line to make my eyes really pop. I also use Blanc to highlight (as I learned from Michelle Phan) the browbone and inner corners of my eyes. This comes in handy if you aren't applying eyeshadow and don't want to pull out the highlighter. This product stays on until I remove it with Bi-Facil. I wish this liner came in more colors and I wish it were in a twist applicator that didn't need sharpening. Other than that I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Eyeliner I got this at Macy's as part of the previous "purchase with purchase" promotion. (large Black Makeup Case promotion). I honestly usually use nothing but gel in a pot eyeliner but since I paid for it (even at a discount) I would try it out. It's a rather long pencil so I assumed it would go on light so that I would have to re-do my liner to get it dark how I wanted it. I was really surprised at the consistency of the pencil and how well it went on with only one swoop. The color is absolutely wonderful in a "Dark Coffee" tone, subtle brown with black. I plan to purchase again, even at full price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I normally wear liquid or gel liners but on occasion I will wear pencil and these are great! I have 2 shades, 1 in white (blanc) which is great for putting in the inner corner of my eye and under my brow. The other color is a MUST, Black Lapis! It's such a beautiful dark teal. What I love even more is the versatility with this shade. Here's an exciting tip, Black Lapis actually changes colors when you place different eyeshadow colors over it. Try putting Lancome's "Personal Style" eyeshadow over Black Lapis and watch it transform from from a gorgeous dark teal, to a brighter more intense bluer teal. I get compliments nearly every time I wear Black Lapis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Eyeliner I really like this liner. It goes on silky smooth and is easy to smudge. I have found if you put it on and either leave it as a strong line or smudge it and FOLLOW up with a light dusting of shadow or powder it will last all day without smudging, running or wearing off. If you want a stark line on top of your makeup or without any other make up I would not suggest this type of liner because being silky smooth and easy to smudge on the lid it will not work as say a liquid or stay in place on its own. It does NOT dry out and drag like many cheaper inferior products do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST MASCARA I've ever used This is my absolute favorite beauty product. I have worn this mascara for 10 years (since I was 21). I tried several different department store brands before finding this one and have never looked back! It goes on very smooth and solid, almost like a liquid liner, but it doesn't smudge at all throughout the day. I have combination/oily skin and this stays on all day with no problem. If I have plans in the evening I sometimes need to retouch. Also it comes off very easily with makeup remover. I recommend this product all the time and now all of my friends and women in my family wear it as well. They all agree....this product is excellent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Raccoon eyes worst eyeliner, similar quality to dollar store eyeliners. smudges all over my face within an hour. i look like a smeared my fingers all over my eyes when i actually never touched them. my friends notice immediately and tell me my makeup is messed up. super disappointed. would not recommend this product what so ever. i had better luck with liquid liners or the eyeliners from other brands that are more waterproof eye still smudgeable. this one, not so much. if someone can help me figure out a way i can return this item if it was gifted or a way to prevent it from smudging all over i would be really grateful.

Is it for inside the eyes?

I have bought one from the Dubai Duty Free but when I used inside the eyes I fell not to see good and I see blurry!!!!!!!!!!
Asked by: Shima
No. Eyeliners should not be used inside the eye. I don't know of any that are made for that purpose, when they are used inside the eye they are being used incorrectly.

I love using the black lapis pencil, but it smudges quite a bit is there anyway to stop it from smudging so much.

My race is black and I have only skin.
Asked by: Boldy
Kohl eyeliners are supposed to smudge normally as they were made for the "Smoky Eye" look. That being said, I too love this eyeliner and use it despite not doing the "Smoky Eye". To me it goes on smoother and easier. So here are some things I have tried and they all work well, but I prefer he second and third ones. You can use a little black eyeshadow and go over the area , I have heard this helps. You can also set the powder by using your flat precision eyeshadow brush and dip it in your foundation powder and run that along the bottom edges. Touching a little but don't overlap. I know that one way I keep my liner from running (along with the foundation powder trick) I always use an eye primer. It helps set the canvas and minimizes the oil on my eyelids. I use the La Base Pro face primer on my face and eyes, it's oil free so it doesn't add to my oily skin and I don't see much shine for at least six hours. Hope this helps!

Is this product oil-free? What are the ingredients?

Per the ingredients link on the product page. "Ingredients C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES, BEHENYL ALCOHOL, TALC, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, STEARALKONIUM HECTORITE, SILICA, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, TOCOPHEROL, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, [+/- MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR, CI 75470 / CARMINE, CI 77000 / ALUMINUM POWDER, CI 77007 / ULTRAMARINES, CI 77163 / BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES, CI 77510 / FERRIC FERROCYANIDE, CI 77742 / MANGANESE VIOLET, CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE, MICA]" Triglycerides are "an ester formed from glycerol and three fatty acid groups. Triglycerides are the main constituents of natural fats and oils, and high concentrations in the blood indicate an elevated risk of stroke." per a Google search Talc is a mineral with an oily feel to it. Isopropyl Myristate is a synthetic oil used as an emollient, thickening agent, or lubricant in beauty products. per WWW.WiseGeek.Org So I will have to go with yes, there are oils in this eyeliner. Upon further research it seems that most eye products including some mineral makeup has Isopropyl Myristate in them. You can Google the ingredient and come up with a definition and a partial lisiting of what the ingredient is used for/in.
