This easy-to-clean, synthetic bristled brush is the perfect partner to all liquid foundations. The tapered edge blends liquid makeup for a natural, even look. Brush hairs are softer, and have a more graduated tip for even, controlled blending.

How to use:
Apply a small amount of liquid foundation onto the back of your hand. Using the flat side of the brush, apply to areas that need coverage, beginning in the area between the nose and cheek. Turn the brush over and, without adding any additional product, finish blending with downward strokes. Repeat the process on the rest of the face.

Backstage Beauty Tip:
Use one side to apply the foundation and keep the other side “clean” of product to blend. If you can’t see the grey
bristles, you have too much foundation on your brush!

Benefits & Technology

  • Easy to clean with brush cleanser or shampoo and warm water
  • Soft, synthetic bristles provides even, controlled application with minimal product
  • Brush hairs have tapered edge and graduated tip for controlled blending

Foundation Brush #2 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Foundation Brush #2 I've used this brush several times to apply liquid foundation when I have traveled. The brush hairs do not shed & are soft & the foundation is easy to apply with this brush. This brush blends the foundation well without brush strokes being visible. The brush cleans up very well with baby shampoo & warm water. I let it dry on its side after blotting off excess water & its good to go again in the AM after drying overnight. I've used this brush daily & wash it clean once every week. I've used this brush to also apply foundation near my lower lids & it works well. I have decided to buy the concealer brush for this area of my face. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best foundation brush I'm so happy I purchased this brush! I had been using a sponge to apply foundation for almost 20 years, and I didn't think a brush would work as well as a sponge. I was wrong. This brush is foolproof, so easy to apply and blend. The shape of the bristles is what makes it stand out from other foundation brushes. I use it to apply La Base, then Teint Idole over that. My skin looks so smooth. It comes with a little plastic cover that you can put over the brush when not using. It helps to prolong the life of your foundation, because you don't have to use as much. Worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best way to apply foundation! I cant live without my foundation brush personally! I have of course applied foundation using my fingers, sponges and "other" foundation brushes and none even come close to using Lancomes Foundation brush. I have had the unpleasant experience with buying other "high end" foundation brushes to only have the bristles break off while applying my foundation. Never had that problem with this brush. Using this brush really allows Lancomes foundation to work its magic! Dont even waste your money buying those very popular tear drop sponges to apply your foundation. They get nasty after time even with proper cleaning. Apply your money to this brush.. I dont think you will be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawless application begins with the right brushes Each brush is crafted to do a perfect job. Although they have overlapping capabilities, I find I want one of each. Obviously, not being a professional makeup artist that is only a dream, but a girl can drean can't she? Every single day I use the # 1, 2, 25, 6, 9, 18 and 13. I am certain every woman has ones she would prefer over others, but I love having the freedom to use the one I want to do just the right job. I received these as a gift set from myself.. The brushes are crafted to use minimal product for a natural finish. I cannot say how much I enjoy using them and how much I appreciate their quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This brush makes makeup fun Never having used a brush to apply makeup, I was amazed to feel how luxurious it was to have the cosmetician at the Lancome counter apply foundations to test for color match and then complete the makeup with an ease and a minimal amount of product. There were more brushes to learn about, but this one is truly the foundation brush. My morning routine is now a real pleasure, and everyday I am pleased with the results. I love the resilience, shape and smooth feel of this brush. In a house fire - this is one of the things I would take with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a difference this brush makes! I have never used a brush before to apply liquid makeup and I was a little skeptical regarding the need.....Having said that; I used the brush with my AbsoluBx makeup (over LaBase) and was I impressed!!! My skin looks natuarally glowing and the makeup is just where I need it the most. In addition, I noticed that I use far less than I would applying with fingers; so it is a win-win! I did watch the videos at Lancome.com to get an idea how to use it (focus in the center and work out). I only wish I had tried using a brush years ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Foundation Brush to purchase - This brush was recommended to me by a salesperson/make-up artist. Although quite pricey for a brush, I love how I can tap and blend my non-powder foundation really well to my face. - I have used it for a month now, and it seems quite durable. - It does stay in a slightly bent and clumped shape, which forces me to keep rotating the brush and apply the make up on a specific side of the brush...not sure why it does that. It doesn't affect my overall make-up effect... but I find that a bit odd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality brush This brush is not made of natural materials, but that is what makes it so good. You can put a little dab of foundation on the back of your hand and take a dab at a time and feather it out and upwards over the entire face for an even application and a flawless look. You can control perfectly how heavily or lightly you would like your foundation, and the brush will go on smoothly due to the way the bristles hold and release the makeup.

What is the length of this brush from top (bristles) to bottom (handle)? I wish Lancome would list dimensions in the brush description.

when should a person replace this brush with a new one?

I have had mine for a long time. I'm not sure if because it is so old it is losing its effectiveness. What are signs of aging on this brush? Thank you!
Asked by: Kristiny
I have used brushes for painting for years and this brush is perfect for what it is designed to do. My suggestion to you is that when the brush is no longer holding its shape or firmness, when it no longer glides the foundation over your face so that it makes you smile, it is time to replace it. Having to force a brush to do its job is no fun. When you get your new one, you will know immediately that the time was long passed when you should have listened to the voice in your head saying this brush is more work than assistance. Enjoy it. I love mine so much I have two just to let one rest every other day. Ha Ha ha.

How often should I clean this brush?

I am new to foundation, especially with brush application. I just bought this brush, but do not know how to best care for it.
Asked by: Anonymous
I agree cleaning the brush wih a very mild soap is best. As an artist, I treat my brushes like my children - very gently. One carryover from painting is removing extra foundation or creams from the brush by laying it on a washcloth and squeezing the bristles to rid the brush of the excess. I avoid pulling on the bristles or disturbing its natural shape. Make sure the brush can dry all the way through after washing. If the shape becomes bent or splayed, the product has gone too far down the brush and removing it is step one. To reshape the brush after cleaning, use a bit of the geltle soap to hold the brush in the corrected shape until your next use. Rinse with water, press dry with a washcloth before using with makeup product and see if that helps renew your brush.
