This easy-to-clean, synthetic bristled brush is the perfect partner to all liquid foundations. The tapered edge blends liquid makeup for a natural, even look. Brush hairs are softer, and have a more graduated tip for even, controlled blending.

How to use:
Apply a small amount of liquid foundation onto the back of your hand. Using the flat side of the brush, apply to areas that need coverage, beginning in the area between the nose and cheek. Turn the brush over and, without adding any additional product, finish blending with downward strokes. Repeat the process on the rest of the face.

Backstage Beauty Tip:
Use one side to apply the foundation and keep the other side “clean” of product to blend. If you can’t see the grey
bristles, you have too much foundation on your brush!

Benefits & Technology

  • Easy to clean with brush cleanser or shampoo and warm water
  • Soft, synthetic bristles provides even, controlled application with minimal product
  • Brush hairs have tapered edge and graduated tip for controlled blending

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Find! I purchased this Foundation Brush #2 on an impulse, and am so glad that I did. It works beautifully for liquid foundation, giving a very professional finish. I still love my High Coverage Brush #28 for my Teint Idole stick, but this one is best for Teint Idole liquid.

Dimension of This Brush?

What is the length of this brush from top (bristles) to bottom (handle)? I wish Lancome would list dimensions in the brush description.

when should a person replace this brush with a new one?

I have had mine for a long time. I'm not sure if because it is so old it is losing its effectiveness. What are signs of aging on this brush? Thank you!
Asked by: Kristiny
I have used brushes for painting for years and this brush is perfect for what it is designed to do. My suggestion to you is that when the brush is no longer holding its shape or firmness, when it no longer glides the foundation over your face so that it makes you smile, it is time to replace it. Having to force a brush to do its job is no fun. When you get your new one, you will know immediately that the time was long passed when you should have listened to the voice in your head saying this brush is more work than assistance. Enjoy it. I love mine so much I have two just to let one rest every other day. Ha Ha ha.

How often should I clean this brush?

I am new to foundation, especially with brush application. I just bought this brush, but do not know how to best care for it.
Asked by: Anonymous
I agree cleaning the brush wih a very mild soap is best. As an artist, I treat my brushes like my children - very gently. One carryover from painting is removing extra foundation or creams from the brush by laying it on a washcloth and squeezing the bristles to rid the brush of the excess. I avoid pulling on the bristles or disturbing its natural shape. Make sure the brush can dry all the way through after washing. If the shape becomes bent or splayed, the product has gone too far down the brush and removing it is step one. To reshape the brush after cleaning, use a bit of the geltle soap to hold the brush in the corrected shape until your next use. Rinse with water, press dry with a washcloth before using with makeup product and see if that helps renew your brush.
