Angela Bassett Eye Makeup
Angela Bassett’s blue eyeshadow look is one to recreate. For a bold cleopatra inspired eye D’Andre created a show stopping regal blue eyeshadow look. Firstly he applied blue eyeshadow Lancôme Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Bleu Hypnotique in shade #4 (shimmer cobalt blue) over the entire eyelid and lower lid below the lashes. To create a smoky effect D’Andre blended and smudged shade #5 (matte navy) on the upper and lower lash-line. Angela Bassett blue eyeshadow application was specially focused on the corners for dimension and a dramatic smokey eye effect. For added intensity D’ Andre applied Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony on the inner lower and upper eyelid smudging it along the lower lash.
A makeup tip used by numerous makeup artists D’Andre finalized the eyeshadow with a blend of shades #1 (shimmer white) and #3 (gold) applied just on the inner corner of the eyes this technique works to draw light into the eyes and help the eyes look larger.
To complete the stunning eye look the eyes were finished with a few coats of Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara on the upper and lower eyelashes for length and drama.
To compliment the dramatic eyes D’Andre looked to create a soft ombre effect to the lips. To create the look D’andre first applied Lancôme Le Crayon in Plum on the corners and blended in slightly. To add shading and highlights to the lips D’Andre applied NEW Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Drama Ink in shade 288 all over the lips to create a uniform base. D’Andre then applied 274 in the middle of the lips and 311 just to the center of the lips to highlight and draw light into the mouth. The patented curved applicator allows for a precision application and the high pigment high impact color is easy to layer thanks to its lightweight consistency.
D’Andre finished with a touch of Lancôme Juicy Tubes in Hallucination for a highlight and shimmer on the center and top bow of the lip.
