Recreate Zendaya’s makeup for the Emmy Awards, where she was the youngest to win lead actress in a drama series for her work on Euphoria, and learn about Lancôme’s new mascara.
When Zendaya won the Emmy Award for best Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Euphoria, she made history. The 24-year-old actress is now the youngest ever Emmy winner for lead drama actress, a record she made while bringing some drama of her own with her makeup look — despite there being no in-person ceremony due to COVID.
“Her look is always very natural, so we decided to do a retro pixie vibe to complement her polka dot gown,” said celebrity makeup artist Sheika Daley. “We smoked out the crease of the liner, pulling the look together with the pixie bang and dress. Overall, the look is fun and flirty!” Here, the exact makeup products that Daley used to create Zendaya’s show-stopping look.
The secret to a great makeup look? Start with your skin. Zendaya first wore the Advanced Génifique Hydrogel Melting Mask and Advanced Génifique Light Pearl Hydrogel Melting 360 Eye Mask. Then, Daley followed up with the Advanced Génifique Yeux Eye Cream and Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate to hydrate and brighten.
Late nights call for longwear makeup. Zendaya wore Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation and Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Concealer for a flawless, natural matte finish with a weightless feel.
While the makeup on Euphoria tends to be bright and glittery, Daley went for a subtle smokey eye and dramatic liner for Zendaya’s Emmy look — not to mention the exciting highlight of Zendaya’s eye makeup, Lancôme’s newest mascara, which is debuting in December (sign up for the waitlist now!). No awards night makeup would be complete without a glossy lip. Zendaya wore Juicy Tubes in 06 Simmer, a shimmery nude shade that added shine without stealing the show.
