Rated 5 out of 5 by Great overall finish I am 59 and my skin doesn't have that "youthful" glow of days gone by. I use Lancome's Dual Finish Matte Amande III on my face and then finish off the look using the Absolute Powder in Golden, and my face looks just great. Much more youthful. Absolute doesn't add a "made up" look to your face, it just makes it appear more lustrous. I love this product.. couldn't believe the effect. I hope they never discontinue it because I've never seen any other product that does this to my face. 1/23/13
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK purchase While it does just about everything that it advertises, I would not recommend it to anyone who has the slightest tendency to get a shiny face throughout the day. So, if you have combination or oily skin, this product is not really for you --unless you top it off with a matte finish powder during the day. 5/6/12

It just gives a nice glow!! I hope Lancome never stops offering this product. The jar does last quite a well. The "golden" shade is lovely and does not look pink on the skin. 1/23/12

The Makeup Artist used this powder and I was both amazed and impressed with the results. When I saw the color of the Absolute Golden powder, I told him that it looked too pink, too shimmery, and too dark. He ignored my protestations and I discovered my new favorite powder. I am in my sixties, but have good, fair, and unwrinkled skin and this powder really brings it to life. 10/26/11

I don't know if I am using this product correctly, but I can't open the plastic lid with holes to get to the powder.

I know the feeling have the same problem. What I usually do is leave the plastic perforated lid in situ covered with the applicator , turn it upside down gently tap the bottom and you should get powder on the pad . You will have to do this several times, but who said being beautiful was easy

Answer: 
Try using a pair of tweezers to remove the plastic covering on the holes. It's kind of difficult to see moving the product around under a light has always helped me see it. There is actually a small tab on the circle looking plastic cover. Once that is removed powder flows freely.

I use clair 30 foundation and use med ecru for the loose powder....Would is be possible to use the golden shade of it...one shade up...thank you
