CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I've been using this pencil since late 2012. I haven't had the same sharpening problem as other reviewers. I've been using the same sharpener for over 10 years. Back to the pencil...I just love it. Blends great, looks natural. 5/9/13
Rated 2 out of 5 by Color and Quality is Good, but can't sharpen it I love the color and coverage of this pencil, but every time I sharpen it the crayon breaks and the wood splinters. I thought I might have a cheap sharpener, but I have tried several with the same results. And, I see from other reviews that I am not the only one to have this problem. Very disappointing since this is not a cheap product. 3/14/13
Rated 4 out of 5 by works well but pricey and wasteful I used a friend's Le Crayon and liked it a lot. I bought one despite the high price, but given its length I thought it was worth it, until I sharpened it. The crayon broke, the surrounding wood(?) slivered and broke too....aagghh!! Now I have a preciously short crayon. For the price Lancome ought to be able to solve this commonly experienced problem. Otherwise it's a very good product. I recommend with warning. 12/19/12
Rated 2 out of 5 by Problems sharpening Being a cancer patient I have no eyebrows and I love the look of this pencil, but I can not afford to loose more then half of the pencil when trying to sharpen it. It's about 3/4 gone and I still can not get a sharp point on it. Heading to the local drug store tomorrow and purchasing another pencil. Unless you don't mind spending money and using it two or three times only, don't buy this product. 12/9/12
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Easy does it, short light strokes work best, if you press hard you will break the pencil. Regarding sharpening, I always put mine in the freezer then sharpen, have had no problems at all. 11/15/12

My brows have been over plucked for years and I would like them to look fuller but I don't want to look like a clown. What I do have are dark so I want the color to blend.

Answer:
You have to do some experimenting. Start with a dark brown and keep trying different shades to see what looks most natural. I use a cake powder and a brush. It takes time to get the hang of using either a pencil or a brush.

Answer:
I have the same problem but to answer your question properly, I need to know the color of your eyebrows and skin. I have black eyebrows and dark brown skin, so I use a dark brown or reddish brown pencil to fill in. Truth is, no matter what, it still looks like I penciled in my brows. Waxes look more natural but don't last as long for me. You can also try a pencil with a clear brow wand. It'll be trial and error until you find what best suits you.

Answer:
I would chose a color a bit lighter than your hair color. If your hair is brown, then chose one shade lighter.

Answer:
Lancome does make a sharpener and the pencil can only be sharpened successfully with that sharpener. They should offer that info with the product. This is my favorite eyebrow pencil - been using for 10 years - and it lasts a long time with the right sharpener.

I am 65 now and my eyebrows have been over plucked over the years. Although my head hair color is a lovely shade of brown with more gold then red highlights (very natural looking), my eyebrows are still quite black with white brows coming in and attempting to take over. I do use my hair color on my brows, but that does not last long. Any brown brow pencil, no matter how dark, still looks brown, not black.
My skin is quite fair.
What color Le Crayon Poudre would you recommend for me?

Answer:
Use a matte brown eyeshadow close to the color of your hair but not darker. Also pluck the white because the shadow won't adhere well. I have the same problem. I use thin brush & lightly go over the brows so they look soft. I am missing an eyebrow due to an accident 49 yrs ago & have the eyebrow tatooted so to speak but I still need to put shadow on it so it matches the other eyebrow. No one can tell that I use eyeshadow on the brows. I never use pencil it can become to harsh. I hope this helps somewhat.

Eyebrow pencil sharpener. I too have one of your eyebrow pencils and I really like it but with all the comments about not having a sharpener, I hesitate to buy another one. Please advise. Thank you.

Answer:
Two or three twists in the sharpener should do it. I use an inexpensive sharpener and have had no problems. I love using this pencil since I get much better results than with other products and I am not someone who works in the field of cosmetics. I have found that using a light touch gets the best results.
