This is the best mascara hands down. I am on my 5th tube and will never stop using it! I have dry lashes and this mascara seems to condition and hydrate them. It never clumps or flakes. It lengthens, adds volume, and separates lashes. The brush is also the perfect size and the formula has a great consistency. I have sensitive eyes and this does not irritate them. Thank you Lancome for making such an excellent product.

It doesn't matter how many mascaras come along, they never measure up to Definicils. I am always happier with how my lashes look when I use it - nothing else comes close.

I received a sample of this mascara almost ten years ago and have yet to find any other mascara out there that comes close to this one. It is the least clumping, most defining and thickening mascara for me. I love the brush...it's super fluffy and covers all of my lashes in just a few sweeps. The mascara does not run and my eyes are not irritated even if I forget to remove my eye make up at night. I have tried drug store brands and high end samples, none have compared to this. It isn't too highly priced considering the quality is outstanding. It is just a bit out of my price range currently as I am just starting back to work from being a stay at home mom, so I ask for it as a gift on holidays or birthdays. This is the one Lancome product I CAN NOT live without!

I normally don't buy expensive cosmetics but just this mascara has made me change my mind about lancome in general. I've been using this mascara for 6 months and am addicted. A must have :)))

I think it would be beautiful to use the Deep Brown if your eyes are hazel or green. If your eyes are grey or blue, I would try the Black. For the best solution, if you are near a Lancome consultant, go right to the store and try one on each eye to see which you like best. Have fun!Gender: Female

I would recommend you use either the brown or the deep brown being you are fair skinned. It would look more natural than black or colored mascaras. I, also, recommend the lash primer. The primer helps hold the mascara better & allows you to use less mascara than you would without it. Plus, it gives your mascara more staying power.Gender: Female

Hi Southernbelle,I think that the Defincils Masacara in dark brown might be the best for you unless you have very dark eyelashes already. Try to keep it looking as natural as you can with having your red hair and fair skin. In fact I would really "play up" the fact that you have red hair and let everyone that you see and know just how proud you are to be a red-haired lady! Good Luck!
P.S. If you have green eyes, I would use some green eyeshadow also, if not, use the most appropiate color that you would choose anyway.

Great question. This product is available in a brown or deep brown and recommendations for either of these colors would compliment your hair, eyes and skin with less harshness as black. We have two red-heads in the family and make-up and clothing colors can be tricky. Great product! Have you considered using the lash booster by Lancome? Definicils is my favorite mascara, and I think brown would work well for you. Not only would it be a nice complement for your hair color, but it also would be soft enough to enhance your skin tone. If you want a more dramatic look, then go with dark brown, but no darker. In my opinion, sometimes black mascara can look harsh against fair skin. (I have fair skin but dark hair and brown eyes, and even I avoid black.) Either way, I'm sure you'll look beautiful!Gender: Female

I have lash extensions, but still want to use mascara on occasion. I LOVE several of Lancome mascaras, and have used them for 25 years. However, in order to use mascara with extensions, it must be oil-free.

I use Definicils High Def mascara, in black. When i buy a cosemetic, i always check the first three ingredients, to make sure it is a good product for me. In this mascara, they are water, paraffin and stearic acid. I always advise anyone to have complete confidence in the company that makes their products, and Lancome meets my requirement. Please feel free to go by any Lancome counter, to speak to a rep. on any product they sell, i am sure that you will get any and all information on the products that you need.Hope this helps!

Both of those mascaras should be fine as long as the are not the waterproof/resistant formulas because those have oil in them. I tried finding the ingredient list online, but couldn't find it. Maybe the next time you find yourself at a Lancome counter you could ask to take a look at the ingredient list. Hope that helpedGender: Female

L'EXTRÊME WATERPROOF is what I suggest. I did my research and ended up buying it myself! It supposedly gives that false lash look and is just an all around great mascara with the only downfall being that it's not easy to wash off. But that's to be expected with a waterproof mascara.
