Have you noticed that it's hard to find a good eye primer? It's not the most glamorous item -- certainly not as "fun" as the many beautiful pallettes of eye-shadows -- but for me it's absolutely essential. I was tired of using other brands' "waterproof" liners and shadows that would, after about two hours, leave me with a nice charcoal/smudge-colored arch on my eyelids. Seriously...I would walk into my bathroom at work and be downright embarrassed at the hot mess my eyes had become. So I don't know why I was so stupid to NOT think of getting a primer from Lancome...until now!
I have been using Aquatique for two weeks so far. What do I love about it? First off, the value -- a little goes a long way. I think my little pot of primer will last a good six months, at least. Second, it provides me with a flawless base on my eye region upon which I can work my magic. Third, the performance -- just yesterday I used it and was out in the wind, even shed a tear or two at a touching movie, and by last night -- a good eight hours of "eye-drama" later -- my husband looked at me and said "WOW! Your eyes are GORGEOUS!" SOLD!!!!! Thank you, Lancome. I love you. ;-D

Rated 1 out of 5 by Toscano WHY, WHY WHY DID YOU EVER DROP PERFECTING EYE SHADOW BASE??????? It was the BEST product for eye shadow base around!!! I bought 25 of the product when you were closing out on it. I am now up a creek, I'm using the last one I bought. I've tried and my friends have tried your replacement , Aquatique Waterproof Eyecolour Base. IT"S TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! I don't UNDERSTAND how Lancome dose not realize how BAD this product is compared to your older base product. The other was smooth and creamy this new one is like cement. I hear soooo many people say the same thing. Now I have to look for a NEW Eye Showdow base, which will not be Lancome's. I wish someone from Lanocom will ANSWER my question, WHY!!!!!!!!

Always my major concern about make up was smudging eye make up, but with this amazing product, my eye line and eye shadow Never Never spoiled even after five hours. So, if you have big party or want long lasting make up, you will definitely need this.

A Lancome rep suggested I try the Aquatique Eye Shadow Base Product after Ombre Perfecteur had been discontinued. I can't say that I like it. It's texture is too dry for mature eyes and pulls my skin when I apply it. The Ombre Perfecteur was sooo much better, went on smoothly and never creased. On top of that the Aquatique gets under my nails when I try to use it and makes a mess on my fingers. I cannot recommend. Wish Lancome had given more thought to keeping the Ombre Perfecteur product.

I was so disappointed when the ombre perfecteur was discontinued. I had to buy this stuff. I hate putting it on with my finger and it is heavier than what Im use to. I will not buy this again and am presently searching for a user friendly product.

Absolutely. Mix Aquatique and your eye moisturizer on the back of your hand with a concealer brush. You'll have to experiment a little to find the right combination because the moisturizer will make the Aquatique sheerer.Gender: Female
