The brush is easy to use and you can apply a line desired from very thin to a thicker line depending on your needs. I prefer the black but have used many colors with success. I have worn this for many years and always come back to it. Nothing compares to this product. I also have arthritis and the applicator is easy to use. Five plus stars. 5/30/13

I have purchased and tried several eye liners (pencil, gel, etc) from multiple brands and I did not like any of them because they did not last more than a few hours. I have a little oily skin, so even when I put the eyelid primer, these eye liners got smudged. Also, these were not easy to apply. However, ARTLINER from LANCOME is an absolute winner!! I finally found the one that really works!! I've been using it for over a week now. * It stays on for the whole 9 hrs while I left home, went to work, and came home!! * It does not smudge. * Color stays the same as well -- it does not fade away. * It dries faster than I expected, so it's nice especially when I don't have much time in the morning before I go to work. * Also, it is easier to apply than I thought. A little tip for you -- When the color gets lighter, just put the pen back into the tube, shake a little (which makes some clicking sound), and the liquid is on again. I hesitated for a month or so to purchase this eye liner because this isn't cheap for me, but...I highly recommend this eye liner! Totally worth it :-) This was my 1st Lancome purchase. 5/1/13
Rated 5 out of 5 by You can stop reading now and order... If you like liquid eyeliner, you will love this one! If you've never tried, it's the perfect eyeliner to try! I have tried at least a dozen liquid liners, not to mention gels and pencils over the years, but this has THE best applicator! Plus, the colors are so flattering and it stays on all day! (I use pencil to line my lower lid, and often need to reapply that, but not the top# I have brown hair and eyes and I'm now trying new-to-me shades other than brown and black #noir). So far, navy and aubergine are favorites, although the lighter blue looks nice, too. Next to try is Forest...like brown, navy and aubergine, I suspect it will look very good with any coloring. 4/24/13

I have green eyes, and I use "Icy Black" and the green shade, depending upon what I am wearing. The black is too black for me, but the Icy Black is almost a gunmetal gray. I love them both on me.

Lucky you! For a fun and more natural look, 101 Cinnamon would be lovely, and 600 Steel would provide a more sophisticated, dramatic look yet would be soft enough to complement your fair coloring.

A couple thoughts ... you might want to try a warm tone as contrast to your blue eyes. There are a couple shades of bronze artliner that might be an interesting option to offset blue. A couple have shimmer, though, which you may not want. And I find that navy is almost always a good choice. It enhances blue eyes without the harshness of a black or deep brown liner.

If you want a "natural" look, I would go with brown artliner or pencil. You could try a bit of color on your lids, picking up any color in your irises (sometimes purple or pink brings out green or deepens the brown). I have dark circles around my eyes, so I try to brighten the lids with a bit of light pink or beige shadow on the lid and under my eyebrow, and that may be what you're looking for to stay "natural" while you wear some flattering eye make up. I would stay with brown for mascara, too.

I would use brown eye liner and skip the eye shadow altogether. You can use just an eye shadow base/primer to smooth the skin. If you truly want to use eye shadow, then I would use light neutrals (beige, ivory). Stay away from dark or bright colors.

There is a Color Design lipstick called "Socialite". It is a matte fuchsia color, not quite what you were looking for. You might like Color Design in Curtain Call, L'Absolue Nu in Parme Flanelle or Berry Silhouette.
