STEP 1
Start with the flat side of the brush by applying it right at the lashline to get the instant volume. Then, comb through your lashes using a zig-zag motion with the brush to make sure the Hypnose Star formula is evenly applied.

My first Lancome mascara was the Hypnose Dolleyes. I was impressed with its non-smudging quality and the way it lengthened my lashes without my having to curl my lashes everyday. I was excited to try to Hypnose Star when it came out but was disappointed because it didn't have the same volume and lengthening feature like the Dolleyes. But I realized that the brush was different. So I went online to learn about the brush and watched the tutorial on Lancome's website. Gave the Star another go and wow! how you apply it really makes a difference. This is a great product - the mascara is not clumpy and feels smoother and lighter than the Dolleyes and it does lengthen and voluminizes your lashes - provided you get the technique pat down. I admire Lancome for not dumbing down its product - but I really wonder how many customers will be able to get it right.

Is this possible? I wouldn't have thought so, but yes, this mascara made my lashes appear smaller/thinner than they do without the mascara applied! The picture makes it look as though the shape of the applicator is more cone shaped like the doll lash applicator, but it is the tiniest, most puny applicator ever. Absolutely would not recommend this mascara to anyone.

I looked and felt like I had cut a bag full of onions!!!!!! OUCH! I miss my VIRTUOUS!!!!!!!!

Its a very good product, but its kind of complicated if you are not familiarized with it, particularly its brush, but its very good, I love my lashes wearing it

I have been using Lancome products for over 30 years. I was excited to try this new mascara. The brush seemed interesting at first, but is very awkward to use. The mascara seems dry and sparse, and clumps on the lashes, even when I use Cils Booster Mascara Base. I will not buy this again, nor can I recommend it to anyone.

I have green eyes, too. I've tried lots of different things, and one interesting option is plum colors, which do a great job of bringing out green eyes. So you might want to check out the 5 shadow and liner set in Ruby. It's a bit different than the expected color palette for green eyes, but I really liked the look. I'd stick with warmer tones instead of cool colors, and don't forget the mascara.Gender: Female

Each mascara is designed for specific effects. Some are for volume, some are for definition, some focus on lengthening, curling, etc. Each one is specified under the product on the Lancome website. Also, if you click on "mascar" under the makeup tab, on the left hand side it will list what the mascaras do. For example, if you are looking to curl your lashes, it will tell you which mascara focuses on that effect. Just click on "curling". It will display which mascaras are good for curling your lashes. Or if you want more definition, just click on 'definition" & it will give you the mascaras for that, etc.Gender: Female

Wow! Wish I had that combo! I have hazel , brown hair, & dark circles under the eyes. I've worked with my make up a lot but mine is to cover dark circles.If I were you I would plan a 30min visit to you LanCome counter and have some fun. Take a friend and if you really wanted to have a blast call ahead and make an appointment with the LanCome girl to for suggests, sample some eye colors, & application instructions. I did this about 6mths ago and it really helped me.

Fortunately, you can wear just about any shade in eye shadow with your coloring. Especially, because you have a medium complexion. You can use, beige, brown, green, blue, pink, gold, gray, peach, even purple. If your complexion were fair, you wouldn't be able to have this flexability. I would stay away from super bright colors like yellow, orange or red though. If you are a more mature woman with more mature skin then I would stick with the more neutral shades & avoid any shadows that are too glittery. Anything too frosty or glittery & sparkley will just accentuate any lines or wrinkles. A little sparkle is ok. Stick with the more matte palattes.Gender: Female

The dual sided brush is great. Flat side builds volume at lashline while the round short side lenthens and defines. The tip is great for the tiny lashes. Hold it up and you can see the two sides are different. I use the flat side first and then the round side. Keep working with it until you get use to it. Love the resultsGender: Female
