This powder is silky smooth and feels incredible on my skin. It's also one of the few powders for redness that actually works.
After a little experimentation with it, I have decided that it works best when used on its own or as a primer under a powder foundation like Dual Finish or Absolue Powder. I tried several times to use it under my Teint Idole 24 Hour foundation, but it made the coverage splotchy and obvious. If you're wanting a primer for liquid foundation, stick with La Base. If you want to make your skin look even with minimal effort, give this a try.
My only complaint is that I can't carry it around with me for touch ups since it's bulky, requires a brush, and can get messy.

I have redness in my cheeks, nose, some veins that are close to the surface and this evens it ALL out.....you have to get use to the packaging, and make sure you have a sturdy brush to apply.....it does NOT come with a brush nor pad to apply...I just happen to have loads of different types of brushes. I am using one of my small buki brushes to apply....it covers all I want to and helps my Photogenic apply wonderfully. Another addition to my Lancome skin regimen

I have combination skin: oily t-zone, slightly dry on the cheeks. Was hoping Ageless Minérale primer will help to controll oil & smoothly apply foundation on drier areas.
I've ordered it online. Expected more then a .12 OZ uncomfortable package. Loose powders can often be messy. That one is too messy. The "switcher" that is suppose to be turned clockwise, to get some powder, was barely moving. If you don't have strong fingers, do not attempt!
Product has micro-fine texture and egg-yolk color, which made contrast with face redness, but didn't conceal any of it. Couldn't apply evenly on the skin. Powder was immediately set into pores & fine lines. Made face look older. After foundation (Lancome Teint Miracle) was applied, pores looked magnified, every skin imperfection became very noticable, much worse then a bare skin. Supposedly, primer is "Ideal for ...sensitive" skin, but irritated it around nostrils.
30 min later: same redness, huge pores, fine lines, very shiny t-zone, foundation is almost gone by the evening (usually lasts for about 10-12 hours).
The only good thing: did give a silky-soft feel.
I've been trying this primer for 6 days, applying with different brushes, with/without foundation, more/less product...Same all. Sapphire dissapointment.

I love love love this product. I don't need foundation or cover-up if I have this on hand. It evens out the blotchy redness and makes me look younger, smoother, and healthier.

The primer is used under your make-up to smooth out your skin & create a cushion between your skin & your foundation.
