After many trips and terrible counter service, by either the wrong shade or type of foundation I have needed-- I have found it!! .. shade and all by myself. I really do like this foundation tons. I am a neutral not a warm--I am in shade 140 N. I have a lot of discoloration on my face from my younger years and I am only 40 and had considered laser focus treatments etc. to diminish this. I felt ugly with it--but I am ok with it now--just a new foundation brush that is great for stippling to get that airbrushed look and this foundation and it has made a difference in the way my makeup looks. I am pleased with this color..texture and wear ability of this makeup--now you best not discontinue it!!! 5/30/13
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful foundation This foundation is very good. It glides on smoothly and does not accentuate fine lines. It wears all day and gives a nice look to my face. I don't need to use a lot of it to get the look I want. It does not break my face out. It looks very natural but covers imperfections and evens out my skin tone. I really love how it improves my skin during and after I wear it. It costs a little more, but in my opinion it is worth it. 4/25/13

It makes my face feel smooth and hydrated. Just can not say enough about it! If you have not tried it, you owe it to yourself and your skin to try it! The makeup is a little pricey but it last a really long time. It does not take much and spreads easily. 2/7/13

Not overly moisturizing even with oily areas, all of my skin looks better than it has in years! Nice shades for very fair skin. Really, really worth a try! Considering the benefits the price is fine, especially compared to skin care costs. Makes my skin look even, clear, glowing and healthy. 1/22/13

My bottle of Absolue bx says that it contains Octinoxate at 7% and Titanium Dioxide at 1.7%. I have sensitive skin also and have not had any problems with this makeup.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "type" of sunscreen. I can tell you that it has an spf of 18 that helps protect against free radicals and harmful UV rays. I hope this helps answer your question, if not, feel free to contact the customer support line.

Looks to me that Absolute Pearl 135 (NW) is closest to Lifting Clair 30 (C) although a check at the Lancome counter would be best before you buy it. I have found that sometimes the color that appears on the monitor isn't true to the bottle.

I've used Ecru 210(N) and Ecru 240 (NW), but one is a little light and the NW is a little too dark. I'm thinking about trying something that has an (N) but a little darker, so I was wondering what N actually stands for. Is is neutral?

Yes the N stands for Neutral. Here' the answer from the FAQ at bottom of web page. Our foundations use the denotations (C) and (W) to indicate skin undertone. If your undertone is pink or red, you would most likely choose (C) which stands for "cool". If your undertone is golden or yellow, you would most likely choose (W) which stands for "warm". If you do not want to emphasize your natural undertones, then choose (N) which stands for "neutral".

Intensity determines the depth of color. Intensity I being the lightest, Intensity IV being the darkest.

I recommend you go to a counter to be sure and then you can order here.

I am in my early sixties. Not a lot of wrinkles but do have some lines above my upper lip. I also have some pigment spots on the side of my face. I have light colored hair and fair colored skin. What foundation and shade do you recommend?

I am 70 and am currently using Renergie Lift but have used the Absolue BX makeup but found it too heavy for the Maryland climate..we have lots of humidity. So, since you are in Colorado which is dry I suggest you give the Absolue BX a try. As for the color, Absolute Ecru 230 (NC) is a light color if you don't have any tan at all. It is always best to check with an expert at a Lancome counter then you can order from the web knowing that the color is what you want. No matter how good your color looks on the monitor, the only way to be sure is to test it on your skin. I know you will love this makeup.

Willie, I strongly suggest stopping by a counter to test colors/formulas before purchasing or contact Lancome customer service and see if samples are available. You can try the Foundation Finder on the site (if they have your brand/shade) or try matching colors from the swatches online but be prepared for returns/exchanges. Also, try Visionnaire serum under moisturizer/foundation for wrinkle prevention.

If you have pink undertones in your skin, the Ecru 220 is a good choice. I have medium light colored skin with pink tones and it works great for me. If I put it on heavier, the color is darker and if I don't, it is lighter.
Lancome is really good about returns if it is not right. They would also give you a sample in the store to try for a few days too. They might would do that by mail as well. You could ask.

You're going to have to visit a Lancome counter to find out. They'll do a few swatches along your jaw line to get your perfect match.

Based on pictures alone, your current beige color looks similar to Absolue Almond 330 (N). But like I said, you can't be sure without visiting a counter.
