I love this product. I use it with Lancome eyeshadow and I could not be more pleased with the staying power of this base. My eye shadow never creases or looks like it has been on too long when I apply this base under my eyeshadow. I apply just a small amount to my eyelid with my fingertip and it is wonderful for keeping my eyeshadow fresh all day and long into the evening if necessary. Until I found this product, I had to occasionally touch up my eye shadow late in the day - but not now. I saw that another reviewer mentioned the base gets hard as you use it and I have to agree. But since it is so wonderful and I have talked to the Lancome representatives about it and that is what happens, I throw it out before I finish the jar and buy a new one with joy! It is worth every penny!

This actually does what its suppose to do. My eye shadow stays on all day & night. Goes on easy & you never know its there. My only problem is that I need to remember to do it.
Would definitely recommend to all.

When Ombre Perfecteur, which I loved, was discontinued, I had no choice but to buy this stuff. I HATE THIS PRODUCT! It's difficult to apply accurately no matter how careful you are. The color is good and it holds all day, but it is the consistency of molding clay which drags along rather than gliding onto my lid. Whoever designed this product in the lab probably never tried it on anything but a mannequin. It is not fit for a fragile human eyelid.

This is a wonderful primer for a lot of reasons. It is very light and blends easily. My shadow wears well all day, never creases or fades and the color is more intense. It is easy to apply with my finger, but a concealer brush works well too and blends nicely.It also works well to give your lid a nice even tone and covers any darkness or redness you might have. I have heard people say that it dries out, but if you simply take your finger and swirl it around for a minute, it becomes light and creamy again! A tiny bit is all you need, so this product lasts FOREVER! It is a great value! One of my absolute fave products! I highly recommend :)

Aquatique is very long-lasting and keeps my eyeshadow from "dissolving" on my lids, which tend to be oily. The effect really lasts all day--on workdays I apply it early in the morning, and it keeps the shadow appearing good till bedtime. The problem is application. Long before I'm done with the product, it has become more dry and hard to apply. Even when the product is new, it's not easy. Using one's finger is possibly unsanitary; moreover, it's imprecise, particularly in the crease. Swabs don't work very well. Brushes don't work very well. A product that did work extremely well, and that had a foam-tip applicator, was Lancome's Ombre Perfecteur, which has disappeared from the line, much to my great frustration. Aquatique is better than nothing, but it's an inferior substitute for Ombre Perfecteur, which I wish Lancome would bring back!
