I always use powder to set my foundation and I use it with this product. I just like the finish better when I use a powder. The coverage is pretty good on this one so if you are a person who doesn't like powder then you could use this alone in my opinion.

Don't have to, but I Love it with the Translucence pressed powder. double duty shine control. All foundations can last even longer with setting powder, but TIU 24h will last either way. just give it a moment to dray and set before applying blush or bronzer.

I do use a setting powder, but I have very oily skin. The finish is very natural, so if you don't have oily skin like me you can probably go without it.

Yes. Me too! I have tried everything I know to make this foundation cooperate with my skin, but it's really not getting better. I used the previous formulations of Tient Idole for many years and never had a problem...until now. Sadly, it looks like I need a new makeup brand.

It may be the alcohol. It is the third ingredient and I too had the same problem and had to return it. I did not have this problem with the prior formula. Alcohol was further down the ingredient list. Hope this helps

Yes, big time! It's the best foundation I've ever used as far as look and perfection on my face; I didn't have to use that much for the full-coverage either; it was a great foundation, but I started to have cysts everywhere. I gave it three tries and had to return it. :-( I loved the Teint Idole Ultra 24H, but it didn't love me. It's definitely not for sensitive skin.

Since this is 24-hour long wear, I'm having trouble removing this product with face washing and therefore it feels as though it's clogging my pores. Can you recommend the best way to remove it? Is anyone using a specific makeup remover prior to washing?

Lancome's Huile Douceur is wonderful for removing make-up. Easy to use. Pump a little into dry hands and apply to dry face and it emulsifies the make-up as you massage your face. I do this for a minute or two then I rinse my face with warm water, then follow up with regular cleansing and toning. I have been using this product since it launched about 5 years ago and won't use anything else.

Lolah2000, old-school cold cream is one of the best makeup removers since it removes waterproof mascara as well and leaves your skin feeling soft. Tissue-off before using soap or a foaming cleanser. Another good product are cleansing oils which rinse clean but you'll still need to tissue off and use a soap or foaming cleanser to thoroughly remove color cosmetics. When I use cleansing oils when not wearing makeup, I just rinse and it leaves my skin soft and not dry. :}

The best way to remove your makeup is cleansing with a facial brush. Scrub your face gently in small circular motions. Also, an exfoliating scrub will work too. If you use an exfoliator, I recommend using a cleanser first. But some people prefer to exfoliate before using a cleanser. There is, also, a cleansing oil that you can use before washing your face.

110 Ivoire C or 100 Ivoire N are the lightest shades of Teint Idole Ultra 24H. 100 Ivoire has a neutral base, so the color doesn't lean yellow or pink. 110 Ivoire is for cool undertones and provides a slight pinkness to it's base. If you don't want your color looking yellow, it's possible that you have a cool undertone. Women with fair complexions (like you and I!) tend to have more pink tones in our skin than yellow tones. You can test your undertone by looking at the veins on the inside of your arm in natural light; if they look blue you are most likely a cool base. If they lean towards a more olive shade, you are most likely a warm base. If you can't tell, go with the neutral base.

I went to the Lancome counter and asked for a sample of the Teint Idole Ultra 24H. I do have oily skin. They gave me the color - Buff 2. I don't get the flawless finish that I want. They told me to use a brush for application and when I do this, I can barely tell I'm wearing makeup. I want the flawless finish, but not the caked on, plastered look. Help!

Using a foundation brush. Application is smooth and even. You don't really need a powder over this full coverage foundation, but you could apply a translucent over your foundation to flawlessly finish your completion.

anniepan, This new formula is thicker than the old so you may have problems getting that flawless finish. You can try applying with a damp sponge but consider using either Photogenic Lumessence, Absolue BX or Ageless Minerale. Since you have oily skin, apply a primer before foundation. I personally find mineral makeup easier to control application for ranges from natural to evening.

The best way to remove your makeup is cleansing with a facial brush. Scrub your face gently in small circular motions. Also, an exfoliating scrub will work too. If you use an exfoliator, I recommend using a cleanser first. But some people prefer to exfoliate before using a cleanser. There is, also, a cleansing oil that you can use before washing your face.

110 Ivoire C or 100 Ivoire N are the lightest shades of Teint Idole Ultra 24H. 100 Ivoire has a neutral base, so the color doesn't lean yellow or pink. 110 Ivoire is for cool undertones and provides a slight pinkness to it's base. If you don't want your color looking yellow, it's possible that you have a cool undertone. Women with fair complexions (like you and I!) tend to have more pink tones in our skin than yellow tones. You can test your undertone by looking at the veins on the inside of your arm in natural light; if they look blue you are most likely a cool base. If they lean towards a more olive shade, you are most likely a warm base. If you can't tell, go with the neutral base.

I went to the Lancome counter and asked for a sample of the Teint Idole Ultra 24H. I do have oily skin. They gave me the color - Buff 2. I don't get the flawless finish that I want. They told me to use a brush for application and when I do this, I can barely tell I'm wearing makeup. I want the flawless finish, but not the caked on, plastered look. Help!

Using a foundation brush. Application is smooth and even. You don't really need a powder over this full coverage foundation, but you could apply a translucent over your foundation to flawlessly finish your completion.

anniepan, This new formula is thicker than the old so you may have problems getting that flawless finish. You can try applying with a damp sponge but consider using either Photogenic Lumessence, Absolue BX or Ageless Minerale. Since you have oily skin, apply a primer before foundation. I personally find mineral makeup easier to control application for ranges from natural to evening.
