Light is not only reflected on the surface it is also naturally re-emitted from deep within the skin. This is skin's inner light.  At its peak, this surface radiance (1) and inner light (3) constitute skin's aura.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Complexion Perfection! I LOVE this foundation! I am pretty pale at the moment, and I use Ivoire 1N which is a perfect color match! This foundation gives a beautiful luminous/satin matte look, like your own skin, but perfected. Great light to medium coverage, easy to blend, makes skin look smooth, and gives a natural glow. Lasts all day, even on my oily skin, it doesn't disappear or go patchy/cakey. Also, I am highly breakout prone, and this doesn't cause me a single blemish. My favorite foundation of all time! 11/15/11

One full pump is all you really need for the entire face. Because of the small amound needed, it gives me a natural texture without caking up. I would definetely purchase it again. 11/12/11

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great foundation I have very pale skin and have had a hard time finding a foundation that matches well. Ivoire 4n is perfect. I have been searching for a foundation that has lasting power but does not end up cakey as the day wears on. With a lot of other foundations I've tried (Smashbox, Lorac, Clinique, Estee Lauder), the foundations seem to either be too cakey or don't have any staying power. This foundation stays put but is not cakey at all. I don't think this foundation is difficult to apply, like some other reviewers have said. I do think a foundation brush is recommended, however. I have acne scarring and some redness, which this foundation covers pretty well--better than most, anyway. I will definitely buy this again. 11/2/11
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I was very disappointed in this foundation as the alcohol content is too high. I'm not sure why it is even needed. The coverage was not very good either. Some of Lancome's discontinued foundations were much better than this one. 10/19/11
