The best inventions are often inspired by observing nature, and our researchers have always been interested in the processes that the plant world uses to repair itself. Their objective? To identify new substances that could inspire them in actively treating the skin. When plants are damaged, they produce a "signal-molecule" called jasmonic acid. This activates the healing of the damaged tissues and also serves to make them more resistant. Within plants, it is this "signal-molecule" that triggers the action of repair and defence mechanisms.
