| What’s All the Buzz About? |
It’s the most talked-about, blogged-about and buzzed-about mascara in years. It’s been featured in People Magazine, O: The Oprah Winfrey Magazine, Vogue, InStyle and Allure. It’s Ôscillation, Lancôme’s first vibrating mascara. The battery-operated wand generates 7,000 vibrations, or oscillations, per minute and recreates the zig-zag motion that makeup artists use to get long, gorgeous lashes. In July, Lancôme invited the top beauty editors and bloggers to try the product and see a demonstration on three models with different lash types, including very short and straight lashes.
Here’s what they had to say:
You can't do the usual dab-dab thing, it's a totally new kind of application "gesture" that requires some practice, but the models at the event had it down. After I watched their lashes go from normal to falsie-length, I tried it myself, albeit over the waterproof mascara I already had on. (I'll spare you the photos as I had a brow tweezing appointment right after the lunch so was not prepared for close-ups!) But my lashes looked and felt like I was wearing extensions. I think I will love this stuff!

Even without the aid of a makeup artist, special lighting, etc., the results were genuinely, unbelievably amazing. When I say that you can buy this and throw away your eyelash curler, throw away your contraband eyelash-growing balm, throw away your false eyelashes, even, your eyelash extensions—believe me. Huge, enormous, lengthy, thick, unclumpy, and did I mention huge lashes? Jean Godfrey-June, Luckymag.com
Step right up: Lancôme’s new technological-breakthrough mascara has arrived. It vibrates, coats, curls, extends, and literally massages your eyelashes like you won’t believe—hence the name Ôscillation. Right after my appointment, I came back to my office and I tried it. I had no lashes, but now I do. It’s amazing! SunHee Grinnell, Vanityfair.com |
